It honestly feels like I've been pregnant for at least a year (well...only half). I didn't believe the baby books when it said that I would begin to get bored with the pregnancy around the 6th month, but it's very true. But, as my Mom has told me in the past "Boring is good!". Boring means that there are no problems, that everything is going as it should.
Tim and I were back at the doctor's office last Friday for our monthly checkup. We had a Level 2 ultrasound done. This visit was the first time I was a little nervous going in. They measured all of Fiona's organs and checked for any abnormalities. Our little overachiever passed all her tests with flying colors. Nothing to worry about. They said she's in the 51st percentile for her size, but added that she has a very long femur bone. Our little girl is going to be tall like her Moms and Pops!
We have slowly started to work on the house to prepare for her arrival. We've gotten Fi's room all cleaned up and ready to go, we just need to fill it up with all the goodies from our shower.
My Mom and sister are throwing us a baby shower in Cleveland when we're home in July and my Texas "sisters" are planning one for September. I am blown away by the love that everyone has sent our way. Fiona's going to grow up with so many wonderful, special people who love her already.
Don't feel like getting to wordy with this one, but I do promise to post a few pics of "Giant Heather" this weekend. Tim will have to get the wide lens out for the camera, but I did say I would share once my belly started looking "pregnant". There's no doubt that I have hit that point.
My love to you all...H
